bridge: language and play

Bridge is for parents and their deaf/hard of hearing infants and toddlers, birth to age 2.5.

Play is serious business! Play is essential for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.  Playing allows children to explore their world, learn new skills, experiment with their abilities, and develop their language and cognitive skills.  The bridge program offers parents and their infants/toddlers opportunity to play, to learn and apply the language and communication important for play and for interaction, and to socialize with other families.  The program also serves to act as a bridge for the toddlers into the DCS Preschool world, familiarizing them with the preschool environment and the teachers there.  Bridge is lead by licensed ECE staff, the speech-language therapist, and the sign language instructor.

Program dates and registration information is in the link to the right of this section!
